From the Pastor's Office - by Bro. Charles

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ

Praise the Lord, Winter is coming to an end.  Spring is my favorite time of the year.  Being able to working the yard, planting flowers and getting the garden ready are some of my favorite spring time tasks.  Needless to say all of those tasks require work.  Flowers do not plant themselves. The lawn does not cut and trim itself.  The vegetable seeds do not jump into the ground.  It all requires work.  We are rewarded for our work when we enjoy our beautiful flowers and eat those supreme vegetables.
Let us focus for a moment on spiritual things.  Will we invest our life into the ministry of the church as we do in our springtime work?  We may see areas of our church that need some special attention. These areas may require a lot of work.  We must remember that nothing ventured in nothing gained.  God has given to us some wonderful ministries.  These ministries are seeing the lost to come to know Christ as Savior.  We are making a Kingdom difference in the lives of others.  While we are seeing the hand of God blessing, I do not want you to miss some special blessings in your life.  Come on board and join us in ministry.
Some special blessings that I would like to share with you is those who have come to know Christ.  On April 12, I had the privilege of leading James Gibbs and Joshua Thorn to Christ.  They came to us last year in our Upward program.  I praise the Lord for these two young men who have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior.  Also on March 30, Peggy Powell responded in the invitation and presented herself for membership.  We are glad o have Peggy as one of our new members.
In our April business meeting, we voted to expand the ministry position of Bro. Eric Gibbs.  For the pas two years, he has been our youth minister position.  Eric has done a great job for us and we are blessed to have him and his family.  We voted to expand his position to Minister of Education and Youth.  He will be working in Sunday School, Bible studies, areas of Youth and Children's ministry.  We praise the Lord for Bro Eric and look forward as he develops the educational ministry of the church.

Blessings, Bro. Charles
