          NOTES FROM FRANK......

Well, the calendar, and the weather, both tell us that summer is here.  I love this time of year.  God's creation is now shown in its entire splendor.  And the eat hasn't yet begun the summer "melt down".  Truly, a wonderful time of year.
Last month I said that we would be having our Patriotic Celebration at Mike Miller Park on Sunday evening, July 6th.  So if you don't have that on your calendar, don't forget it.  All of the churches that participated in the combined revival week this spring will be included... Bethlehem, Bethel, Gilbertsville, Lakeview, and Zion's Cause.  Here's what will be taking place that evening.  We will begin the service with a time of singing and testimony from the entire congregation.  During that time we will hear from each of the churches in attendance.  During this time we will be recognizing those who helped to make this great country in which we live the best place on earth.  Following that will be a short patriotic presentation from a combined choir made up of folks from each of the five churches.
If you would like to be a part of the choir, meet together with us at Zion's Cause on Sunday afternoon, the 6th at 4:30PM for a time of rehearsal for the horal presentation.  It will be a short presentation of patriotic music that we have done from past summers.  Come be a part of this even if you haven't sung it before.  You will be able to pick it up pretty easily.
The finale' of the evening will be the favorite activity of Baptists everywhere... eating!  If you have a favorite recipe for homemade ice cream, a dessert, etc., make it and bring it with you.  You could even bring a watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, etc.  Don't forget your lawn chairs !
This time is always a wonderful time of fellowship and I know this year will be the same.  Don't miss it.

Love in Christ... Frank

If you sing from your heart you will reach the heart."
